Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Chainprint (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use chainprint.app and related features (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored hashed by our auth provider). If you use social sign-in, we receive basic profile identifiers from that provider.
Usage and product data. We may store analysis history, plan/quota usage, preferences, and similar product state tied to your account so the Service works across sessions.
Audio you analyze. Reference audio is processed to generate mix-chain suggestions. Depending on configuration, processing may happen in your browser and/or on infrastructure we operate. We do not sell your audio files.
Device and technical data. Like most websites, we may receive IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the Service. Local storage / cookies may be used for session and preference persistence.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and protect accounts
- Enforce analysis quotas and plan limits
- Respond to support requests
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including:
- Infrastructure providers such as hosting, auth, and database services (for example Supabase) that process data on our behalf
- Payment processors if you purchase a paid plan (they handle card data directly)
- Legal / safety when required by law or to protect rights, users, or the Service
We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage for login sessions, local preferences, and product state. These are required for core functionality. If we add optional analytics later, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.
5. Retention
We keep account and product data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us (see below). Some residual logs may remain for a limited time.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a web app (HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords via our auth provider). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@chainprint.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.
9. International users
If you access the Service from outside the country where our providers host data, your information may be processed in those locations. By using the Service, you understand that transfer.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
