Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Chainprint (the “Service”), including the website at chainprint.app and related features. By creating an account, checking the agreement box at signup, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Chainprint helps producers analyze reference audio and generate suggested processing chains (for example vocal, instrumental, or full-mix targets) that you can recreate in a digital audio workstation (DAW). Analysis output is an estimate based on signal processing heuristics. It is not a guarantee of an exact recreation of any commercial release, and results will vary by source quality, genre, and your plugins.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.
3. Plans, quotas, and payments
Free and paid features (including analysis limits) may change over time. If you purchase a paid plan, billing terms shown at checkout apply. Unused free analyses do not create a cash value or refund right unless required by law.
4. Your content and audio
- You retain ownership of audio and materials you upload or submit (“User Content”).
- You grant Chainprint a limited license to process User Content solely to provide the Service (for example, analyzing audio in your browser or on our infrastructure, and storing analysis results tied to your account).
- You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and analyze the audio you provide, and that your use does not infringe others’ rights.
- Do not upload malware or content that is unlawful to process.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond normal use of published analysis features
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
- Use the Service to infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
- Scrape, overload, or automate the Service in a way that harms availability
- Misrepresent analysis output as an official endorsement by any artist, label, or rights holder
6. Intellectual property
Chainprint, including its branding, UI, software, and documentation, is owned by Chainprint and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you. Plugin names and third-party brands mentioned in recommendations belong to their owners and are referenced for compatibility guidance only.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that analysis results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular production, release, or commercial use.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHAINPRINT AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
9. Privacy
How we collect and use information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
