Compare Mixes

Load a reference, analyze it, then drop your mix against it. Compare shows frequency, dynamics, and width gaps with practical moves — not just a prettier spectrum.

How it works

  1. Analyze the referenceBuild the target Signature and chain.
  2. Add your takeUpload the mix you’re matching.

Mix comparison for finishing work

When the chain is close but the mix still doesn’t sit, Compare is the closer. Match midrange density, control, and width against the reference — then verify by ear with dry vs through-chain preview.

How does mix compare work?

After you analyze a reference, you load your take. Chainprint diffs frequency bands, dynamics, and width and lists prioritized moves.

Is this the same as an EQ match plugin?

No. It’s a gap report plus chain context — you stay in control of the moves in your DAW.

Can I compare vocals only?

Yes — set the studio target to Vocal and compare a vocal-focused take against the reference.
